Oak Village was founded in 1974 in Takayama, Japan and set on a path to encourage a sustainable recycling-oriented society through the creation and use of their wooden products. All items are handmade by Japanese wood artisans that use traditional Japanese wood crafting techniques to construct wooden masterpieces without any chemical bonding solutions. They use natural solid woods and a natural coat finish with all of their wooden masterpieces, all with the intent of encouraging harmony in everyday life between mankind and nature.
