Sazare means "tiny" or "small stones." The word, "sazare," which appears in Japan's national anthem, describes a scene in which small stones accumulate over the course of a thousands of years, becoming a large rock on which moss grows. 

Japan's honest craftsmanship is evident in the details. Sazare hopes that these small things will continue to exist for a long time, with the makers, users, and many other people working together to create them, turn them into a large rock.
